Return Policy

If you have a merchandise receipt or packing slip and are within 180 days of purchase, we will refund the full purchase price to your original form of payment, with a few exceptions listed below.

Can't find your receipt or packing slip?


For returns without a merchandise receipt or packing slip, or after 180 days from purchase, we will refund the lowest sale price offered in the last 60 days. The refund will be credited to your Belk Rewards Credit Card or a Belk Gift Card.

Return policy exceptions


Special occasion dresses may be returned with receipt within 45 days of purchase. Dresses must be in original condition, with all tags attached. No refunds after 45 days.

Fine jewelry, mattress and rug returns will be accepted within 90 days of purchase with a receipt or packing slip. No refunds after 90 days.

We are unable to accept returns in store for the following products:

  1. Area Rugs (with one side 5-ft. or larger)
  2. Wall Art, Mirrors, Clocks or Picture Frames (30-inches or larger)
  3. Furniture
  4. Food or Candy
  5. Baby Gear
  6. Christmas Trees (10-ft. or larger or out of original box)
  7. Mattresses
  8. Lamps & Lighting
  9. What Goes Around Comes Around items are final sale. Although we try to select only the best vintage products, your What Goes Around Comes Around item may have irregularities and imperfections due to normal wear and tear. There are no returns or exchanges on your purchase in-store and online.

Return in Store

If your purchase was made in a Belk store, please bring the item(s) and your merchandise receipt to a store near you. If you do not live near a store, please call Customer Service at 1-866-235-5443.

If your purchase was made online, it is possible to return item(s) to your nearest Belk store, with the exception of a few unique items (Return policy exceptions above). Please bring in the item(s) along with your packing slip.

Return By Mail

To return item(s) purchased online by mail, please follow the three steps below:

  • Step 1: On your packing slip, please indicate the appropriate reason for your return beside the item description.
  • Step 2: Securely package the slip, your item and appropriate packing materials.* *
  • Step 3: Please send your Belk.com return to:

We strongly recommend that you ship your package via Fedex or USPS insured services, so your shipment may be tracked to its final destination

Belk will refund shipping and handling costs for returns only if: 1) your return contains defective merchandise or merchandise that was damaged during the initial shipping process; or 2) belk.com fulfillment is at fault due to shipping and/or handling error(s).

*Belk cannot accept any merchandise that is damaged in shipment due to improper packing, so please repackage all items properly.


Apple Pay Returns

You can return items purchased via Apple Pay in the Belk app by sending them back to the fulfillment center or bringing them to any Belk store. For Apple Pay orders, you will need your Order Confirmation email or Packing Slip so the associate can scan the barcode to refund payment to the credit card used for your order. They will not be able to use the credit card to find the order information. The barcode can be found on:

  • The Packing Slip that came with your order.
  • The Order Confirmation or Shipping Notification emails you received. *
  • Step 3: In your Order History

Any balance owed to you as a refund will go back to the original payment method you selected in your Apple Pay wallet to pay for your order.


Paypal Returns

To refund the full purchase price to your PayPal account, all in-store PayPal returns must include the order confirmation email or packing slip and occur within 180 days of date of purchase. For in-store PayPal returns without an order confirmation email or packing slip or occur more than 180 days after date of purchase, we will refund the lowest sale price offered in the last 60 days as a credit to your Belk Rewards credit card or on a Belk gift card.
